The course
Keep your skills current
The Standard Refresher brings accredited MHFAiders back to the key knowledge and helping skills from their original training. You will consider new information, discuss challenging scenarios and practise supportive responses across mental health problems and crisis situations.
Delivery options
Who can attend?
You need to have completed an eligible full MHFA course and its accreditation assessment within the previous three years. Standard, Older Person, Tertiary, eligible blended Community or Workplace, and relevant industry-specific MHFAiders may attend the Standard Refresher.
Before enrolment, have your Certificate of Accreditation ready so eligibility can be checked. If you are unsure which Refresher suits your original course, contact us.
Extending accreditation
After the course, eligible participants can complete a short assessment to extend MHFAider accreditation for a further three years.
